I’ve shared a number of room makeovers from this home on the blog already but with this room recently receiving its finishing touches, it was time to share it with you all.
I have to admit, I’m kinda smitten with it.
Mrs “M” gave me a call waaaaaay back in September looking for a painter to give her walls a little more personality. What evolved was a complete and total room transformation—Boho style.
Here is where we started:

What you see above is EXACTLY what you want to do when deciding on paint colors: place them on a number of walls in your home and check them out at various times during the day. This is the fool-proof method of ensuring that you get the right color for your space every time. Promise!
The winners (minus the chicken dinner)? These guys.
Once painted, Mrs “M” was ready to add in some new elements. As always, it started with the vision board.
Lots of black and white, that pretty butterscotch color, and minimalist furniture that lends to a more modern style all whilst channeling some serious 70’s vibes. So fun.
Even “H” got into the act. A boy after my own heart with all those throw pillows! ;)

If you’re a fan of the Boho style, then you are loving this. Mudcloth draperies, a beautiful green velvet couch (hosting the newest member of their sweet family), fun textiles and patterns, creamy white walls, leather, plants, and loads of texture.
New furniture mixed with some old brought this whole room to life. Oh, and I can’t forget to mention that amazing art piece above the TV. Mrs. “M” maaaaaade that! Not even joking.
